After beating Halo Wars, I'll buy Halo Wars 2. I missed out on preordering the Halo Wars 2 bundle that contained the Definitive Edition, so I have been waiting to see if the price is reasonable when it is released as a standalone. I have wanted to try Halo Wars for quite a long time. We would spam the shit out of it whenever we were in a computer lab that had speakers hooked up to a PC.
There was also a cool website at the time that translated some of the Covenant sayings from the game. When CE came out I was in junior high and it seemed cool (slowly shaking my head) to yell this between my friends and myself. I had a difficult time finding a clip for it, but if you skip to 1:56 you can see the whole scene from the anniversary edition, or 3:08 if you want just the quote. My favourite quote, and my favourite game in the series, is from Halo 2:Ĭortana: Just one question. I brought in some piles of rocks just for company and had so much fun in that big ol' ship." Huge! You'd have to be crazys to think there was no seats! But anyway, that's my regretted memory. The last Unggoy alive and I finally got to the ship and it was huge. There wasn't room for nobody else, nope! And I told everybody! So along the way to the ship, everybody was doin' so much fightin' because not enough seats and some Unggoys was killin' others, or doin' cries, or bein' bravers and makin' heroic sacrifices. So we had to escape in a ship before night time, but I do remember that the ship was real tinny smallest and could only do seats for one Unggoy. And things were gettin' more and more dangerous and there was maybe gonna be an exploding soon… I don't know.
We had a bunch of other Unggoy, like maybe twenty or fifty of them… I forget, but it was a lot. Set early in the iconic war between the Covenant and UNSC - made famous by the Halo FPS games - Halo Wars: Definitive Edition provides a unique angle on the war while bringing new heroes to the battlefield.
